As the only healthcare facility in the region dedicated exclusively to pediatric care, Children’s Hospital of Georgia has the largest team of general pediatricians, adolescent medicine physicians and pediatric specialists in the area. We provide expert care for childhood growth and development, routine childhood illnesses and advanced care for the most complex pediatric conditions.

General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine

Our physicians provide routine primary care to children and teens for everything from well child checkups to same-day sick visits. Our physicians are dedicated to getting to the bottom of any problem your child may have, and we will explain things in a way you can understand.

If its cancer, one more reason to see us first

We provide comprehensive diagnosis, treatment and support for children suffering from all types of pediatric cancers and blood disorders. Our doctors are specially trained to identify and treat cancers and blood disorders in our youngest patients.

Pediatric Cardiology

Our pediatric cardiologists diagnose and treat children with pediatric heart conditions such as congenital heart defects, arrhythmias and other acquired heart disease. We provide specialized care that is centered around our pediatric cardiac patients and their loved ones to ensure their best and brightest future.

Pediatric Emergency Medicine

The area’s most advanced pediatric emergency room for children needing emergency medical treatment and trauma care for life threatening injuries or illness. We provide pediatric emergency care for infants, toddlers, children, teenagers and young adults up to age 21.

Our pediatric neuroscience program staffs the largest, most diverse neuroscience pediatric team in the area, including nationally renowned experts in stroke, functional and cerebrovascular neurosurgery and complex spine surgeries. Pediatric Sports Medicine

Our specialists treat a variety of musculoskeletal ailments including strains, sprains, tendinitis, fractures, and sports concussions, as well as medical problems unique to pediatric sports enthusiasts. Our Approach

Our Children's team is specially trained for a wide range of specialty surgical care – from babies that aren’t even born yet, or in utero, to age 21. We are experts on the unique needs of children across all areas of development, understanding how each individual child’s growth rate and personal development pace affects their care and specific treatment decisions.

As part of a comprehensive academic medical center at Augusta University, our care is centralized so we are able to accommodate any advanced care needs of both adults and children. We are the only healthcare facility in Georgia where both Mom and baby can stay in one location for excellent care. And in Augusta, families have access to convenient housing locations such as Ronald McDonald House so parents can be close by for surgery and through recovery. Located conveniently across the street, Ronald McDonald House helps families be together throughout the entire clinical experience.

Parents can call our offices directly for any questions or inquiries for available surgical services. As the only dedicated pediatric hospital in the region, parents can park right in front of our central Children's Hospital building and have convenient access to care for initial appointment, surgical care and follow-up appointments.
