Our Approach

If you have been trying to become pregnant for one year, or are age 35 and above and have tried for six months and have been unable to conceive you may be experiencing a reproductive problem.

Our mission at Augusta University Reproductive Medicine and Infertility Associates is to provide comprehensive healthcare to men and women with problems that center on infertility, reproductive disorders and genetics. Our principal objective is to provide this care in a courteous and empathetic manner.

 

A unique component of our practice is our ongoing research in human infertility. All of our fertility specialists are board-certified in reproductive endocrinology and infertility and are also certified in obstetrics and gynecology. We provide comprehensive reproductive health services and offer the latest technology that assists in reproduction. We focus on single best embryo transfer to achieve one healthy baby at a time.

In addition, we have experts in fertility and medical genetics.

We specialize in a wide range of problems affecting women and men through their reproductive life span.

Infertility evaluation and treatment:

  • Female factor, including previous tubal ligation
  • Male factor, including previous vasectomy
  • Recurrent pregnancy loss
  • Intrauterine insemination (IUI)
  • In vitro fertilization (IVF)

Endocrine condition management:

  • Abnormal or absent menstrual cycles
  • Hypogonadism in men and women
  • Polycystic ovary syndrome
  • Premature ovarian failure
  • Menopause
  • Reproductive tract abnormalities

Genetic counseling:

  • Genetic problems
  • Developmental and chromosome abnormalities

Fertility preservation:

  • In women: Oocyte (egg) freezing, embryo freezing, ovarian transposition
  • In men: Sperm cryopreservation (banking)
  • Oncofertility: We offer specialized care to optimize reproductive potential for cancer patients and cancer survivors.

LGBTQ Reproductive Health:

  • For lesbians: Intrauterine insemination with donor sperm
  • For gay men: Gestational carrier with donor eggs

Transgender Health:

  • Gender-affirming hormone therapy
  • Fertility preservation with sperm or egg freezing
  • Transgender psychological services, includes initial diagnosis of gender dysphoria
