As an Augusta native, I have always cherished the way family and community comes together to provide an enriched and vibrant life. After graduating high school in Evans, GA, I attended the University of Georgia for both my undergraduate and graduate degrees. From there I returned to my home town and obtained my medical degree from The Medical College of Georgia. I completed my internship and residency training at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. I then spent 6 years in practice as a hospitalist in Asheville, North Carolina both in supervising the training of residents and directly caring for adults in Western North Carolina before returning to Augusta in 2020 to continue my practice at Augusta University.

My philosophy of care is founded in open communication and collaboration with patients and families to evaluate, diagnose, and treat both acute and chronic health conditions in adults. I work to foster shared decision-making for patients, and to incorporate their prior experiences and beliefs into current evidenced based therapy to reach their goal of sustained wellness whenever possible.
