About Susan Leighty, MSN, FNP-C

Susan is a two-time Augusta University alumnus. She earned her BSN degree at the Medical College of Georgia in 1994. Serving twenty years at St Joseph’s Hospital of Atlanta, Susan worked in cardiology – specifically heart failure and heart transplantation. During this time, she earned a national certification as a Clinical Transplant Coordinator. Susan also worked as a school nurse for eleven years. She returned to MCG to complete her MSN degree, FNP-BC in 2014. Susan has practiced as a Nurse Practitioner in emergency medicine and in an urgent care setting. She is a lifelong resident of Georgia, growing up in nearby Wilkes County. She and her family currently reside in Covington, GA. Susan specializes in caring for patients from infants to seniors with physical and wellness exams, routine medical care, preventive care and disease management. She is devoted to providing quality health care for her patients.

My prescriptions were not called in the day of my visit. I had to call and request the prescription be called in the next day and even that took more work then necessary.
