Our Approach

When you suffer from injury, disability, or illness, it can limit your ability to effectively engage in everyday work, school, self-care, and leisure activities.

Occupational therapy helps patients recover the skills they need to perform activities instrumental to daily living; allowing for greater overall independence and a better quality of life.

Goals of outpatient OT

Our goal is to work with you to improve:

  • Activities needed for daily living
  • Cognition
  • Functional mobility
  • Range of motion
  • Sensory processing
  • Social skills
  • Strength
  • Visual perception

Referrals to AU Health

We accept referrals from community physicians (MD or DO), nurse practitioners, and physician assistants and will work to maintain a close relationship with your health care provider.
