Dr. Houk is great. He explained things in a manner that I could understand. My son felt comfortable with him. I didn't feel nervous with asking questions. He has a warm and caring personality. I went into the doctor office worried, but after talking with him and nurse xxx I felt better.

Dr. Houck NEVER looked at xxx he did not speak to him at all. He did not look at his xxx. He did not examine him. He walked in and said he called in two different prescriptions. Ignore the first one only except the second one and thought he was going to walk out. xxx He had no intention of truly being a part of this appointment. He thought he could just walk in say he ordered a prescription and walked out.He didn't appreciate that. We actually wanted to discuss the root of this illness.

I'm sure the reason Dr. Houk spent so little time with us is because he had too many patients scheduled for one day, and because he is the only pediatric endocrinologist in the area now. But if things do not improve, I will find another provider for my daughter.

It was the first time seeing this provider, as xxx had been previous provider. The new provider spent approximately 45 SECONDS in the exam room. No physical exam was performed.
