Born, raised, and educated in Illinois. Undergraduate Psychology degree. Residency in Family Medicine then practiced Emergency Medine for 20 years prior to transitioning back to Family Medicine in an outpatient clinic setting. Married with three grown men. A personal joy from exploring the wonderment of life through music, science, and individuals.
Lifestyle Medicine with an interest in Interpersonal Neurobiology. Improvement in well-being through adaptive brief interventional models. Teaching strategies to manage stress through positive methods. Realistic methods to approach life-challenging events in a healthy way.
Brief interventional methods to improve patient well-being
Positive health outcomes may be achieved through concordance with the patient. Well-being is best achieved by utilizing a 'Trauma Informed Care' lens while tending to the six pillars of Lifestyle Medicine: Positive Stress Management, Physical Activity, Enriching Social Connections, Restorative Sleep, Avoiding Toxic Substances and Situations, and Nutrition
